The Ford Canada team had the pleasure of participating in the 2012 Rallye Vert de Montréal (Green Rally) this past September.
This three-day, 600-km competition tests the consistency and fuel-efficiency of many green vehicles, with different open-road challenges at regular speed. In addition to watching the rally, participants could visit the green village to learn more about new eco-technologies in the car industry, test-drive different models and take in conferences.
Team Ford Canada was proud to present its new green initiatives, which included a showcase of eco-friendly cars – the popular C-MAX (Hybrid and Energi) and the all-new Fusion Hybrid.
Also, at the event we saw friends Sylvain Juteau (our favorite EV addict!) and Bruno Guglielminetti (our colleague at NATIONAL) win a prize for their fuel-efficient performance in the electric vehicles category, while driving a Focus Electric.
In total, the Focus Electric and Fusion Hybrid helped Ford rank within the top 3 in five of the six categories:
- No. 1 in the Fuel-efficiency Category IIIA.
- No. 2 in the Combine Rating Category IIIA
- No. 3 in the Combine Rating Category VII & VIII
- No. 3 in the FIA Consistency Rating Category IIIA
- No. 3 in the Fuel-efficiency Rating Category VII & VIII
Our cameras were at the event. Take a look at our video to discover more about the Green Rally!
