Concept vehicles are used in the auto industry to gauge public reaction and acceptance of future designs and technologies. That being said, what an introduction the Ford Atlas Concept had when it was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January! A live rock band mashed the tunes as a team of contractors welded and pounded the construction backdrop – while the mighty Atlas Concept truck was lowered onto the stage. First Impressions Cause Twitter Shock
The arrival of the Atlas Concept lit up the Twitter feeds of those in attendance at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), and made quite an impression in the Ford Canada community. Some even heralded the concept for setting a new benchmark for all trucks.

The Atlas Concept reveal also reverberated with our Facebook community, as our community managers were asked several times, “Where and when can I get one of those?”

Being a concept vehicle, it will not see production “as is,” but the Atlas did initiate real excitement that can be found in the comments surrounding our Facebook post, which you can check out here.
