Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last month, you’ve already had a first-look at the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang. Now, how about a first drive?
That’s exactly what you have the chance to do in the recently released Need For Speed Rivals, which is available across several video game platforms. Ford has partnered with the makers of the game, EA, to feature the 2015 Mustang as a downloadable vehicle. (Take a look at the video above to see a preview).
The brand-new Mustang is set to go on sale and hit the “real” roads later this year. It was revealed on Dec. 5, and judging by the reaction on social media, anticipation for its arrival is building rapidly.
The 2015 edition is noted for its sleek, redesigned body that is quite different from previous models of the now 50-year-old nameplate.
“We worked closely with the development team at EA to provide them with engineering data for the new Mustang, several months before we showed it to the rest of the world,” said Mark Bentley, of Ford licensing. “Computer design models enabled the game developers to create an accurate representation of the new Mustang before it goes on sale.”
In addition to the 2015 Mustang, gamers will also be able to pilot the Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang in Need For Speed Rivals.
