The first Fleetwood Country Cruize-In was started 10 years ago with only 60 classic cars and 2 cases of soda pop on a private estate near London, Ontario. A few weekends ago, just over 25,000 car enthusiasts made the pilgrimage to what has now become Canada’s largest outdoor car show.
Fans of all walks of life gathered together for a weekend to breathe, celebrate and admire classic car culture. This year’s gathering was extra special because 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of one of most celebrated cars of all time, the Ford Mustang.
Over 3000 classic vehicles of all makes were showcased on 105 acres of the private estate this year. Mustang owners came out in droves to share and show-off their cherished machines. A herd of over 500 Mustangs were present at the show, including the newly redesigned 2015 Mustang which sports a sleeker design that brings the car into the future, while retaining the charm that has captured generations of car enthusiasts around the world.
Here’s to another 50 years of freedom, fun and love of the open road. This year’s gathering may have only lasted a weekend but the journey of a car aficionado never ends. Check out the full gallery on Facebook and let us know what your favourite Mustang model is.
