Meet The Team
Social Media Manager / Ford Blog Editor
Hi! I’m Ammar Khan, the Social Media Manager at Ford Canada. I’m really excited to be able to head up the Ford Blog as a place where all members of the Ford community can come together. I want to make your passions, stories and experiences part of our Ford story.
Prior to joining Ford of Canada, I worked in the corporate world at both Rogers and Bell, but my passion is having a hand in the start-up side of things as well I was a co-founder of a file sharing company, a used car classified site, a simulated diamond jewelry start-up and a small Toronto blog. Setting up a social media presence from scratch for Ford in Canada lets me run the equivalent of start-up within a big brand!
I’ve always had a keen interest in new trends in the automotive world, social media and interactive marketing. My vision for Ford in Canadian social media is to do the right thing for our customers, our environment and our society.

Hello! I’m Lidia Le François; a social writer for Ford Canada. I’ve been social writing since 2005, back when being Tom’s friend was an honour. With four blogs under my belt, safe to say I enjoy writing.
Professionally, I have a history of working on car accounts and I like the cars, the cars that go boom. There’s really nothing like a sweet design with an engine that can perform. I would recommend that people learn how to drive standard; the experience between automatic and stick is night and day. Especially when going on a test drive, the car that responds and thrives under pressure gets my attention.
I look forward to the comments and interacting with other people who appreciate a well-built vehicle like a Ford.
VP Communications, Ford of Canada
Hello, I’m Lauren More, Vice President of Communications here at Ford of Canada and I’m excited to be a guest contributor for the Ford Blue Blog. I’ve worked in communications for more than 25 years, first as a daily newspaper reporter and then at a few different public relations agencies before joining Ford. As a volunteer, I’m a national judge for the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS), a CPRS Toronto board member and a judge for the chapter’s ACE Awards for excellence in public relations. I’m also a member of The Conference Board of Canada’s Council of Public Affairs Executives and the Ipsos Reputation Council. And for the past two years, I’ve been teaching a “Writing for PR” course at McMaster University in Hamilton and I’m also a certified Crucial Conversations™ instructor. I’ve been married to the same guy for more than 20 years, and we have two amazing sons. For fun, outside of spending time with my family, I play hockey, ski, cycle and stay up too late reading great books.
Social Media Manager
Hey there! I’m Matt Drennan-Scace, and I’m a Social Media Manager at Ford Canada. I’m thrilled to be joining the team on the Ford Blog and look forward to sharing stories that members of the Ford community will value; stories that peak your interest, entertain you, and possibly make you think differently about Ford.
I’ve previously worked at Ford of Canada on the communications team, first as an associate and more recently as Corporate Communications Manager. In between, I built a career in public health and also started my own boutique public relations agency.
But automotive is where my heart has always been, and I’m thrilled to be at Ford again, as I’ve never stopped bleeding blue.
When I’m not working, I’m generally outdoors doing something, from ball hockey, to hiking, to canoeing or kayaking. I also have the travel bug and am slowly checking places around the world off my bucket list.
Now, let’s spend some time together – sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!
