The F-150 beat out a selection of four competing trucks, including the Chevrolet Silverado 500 5.3-liter V8.
Judges at PickupTrucks.com noted that given its modest V-6 engine, the F-150 impressively overcomes many of the compromises familiar to half-ton customers, while delivering strong capability and driving performance.
