Scott Wade is an artist. For years he’s worked to hone his craft. His medium of choice: dirt. Specifically, fine dirt spread on car windows.
Sound strange? It’s not. We’ve all seen the “wash me” signs lovingly drawn onto dirty car windows before. Now imagine what happens when you have a seasoned artist like Scott Wade have a go.
Scott was in Toronto on June 6, working to raise money for Soaps It Up!, an annual car wash fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Scott’s art was on display for one day only, and we were lucky enough to be there.
After that, franchise partners across the country emulated Scott Wade’s work by featuring their own dirty car art at their local Soaps It Up car washes to celebrate the volunteers and continue the fundraising drive towards the $2-million overall fundraising milestone.
Check out our interview with Scott Wade above, and grab an inside look at his work in progress.
UPDATE: This year’s Soap’s It Up raised over $100, 000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada! Over 70 CARSTAR locations across Canada took part and raised this record-breaking figure!
