Jane Goodall is known worldwide for her environmental and humanitarian work. The 78-year-old Brit was recently in Burlington, Ont., for the city’s Green Eco-Awards, which was sponsored by Ford Canada.
The event raises awareness for efforts that contribute to a greener world – something Ford cares deeply about. The automaker had some of its eco models on display at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, including the Focus Electric and all-new C-MAX.
The event featured a youth environmental conference and awards were handed out to the greenest citizens in Burlington.
“(Goodall’s) main message is about every individual making a difference and every individual mattering and about what we all need to do to live on this planet and survive on this planet together,” said Kale Black, a youth program coordinator for Burlington Green.
Around 700 children from 72 different schools were in attendance and our cameras were there for the action. Check out the video above.
