Montreal blogger Cindy Laverdière (a.k.a. Cindylou) is well-known for her site and as senior web editor at Loulou Magazine. As a fashion and lifestyle expert, she is without a doubt the best person to uncover the latest fashion trends!

For Toronto Fashion Week Cindy has matched outfits inspired by the hottest trends on the runways to three of Ford’s most popular cars for 2013: the Fusion, Focus and Mustang. Find out what catches her eye in our all-new 2013 models!

LOOK 1: Ford Fusion: Classically elegant

The Ford Fusion’s class and sophistication caught my eye at first sight. In my mind, I envision a career-oriented woman, like Anna Wintour, who wouldn’t accept anything less than perfection.

With her packed schedule, she goes from one appointment to the next, with a quick pit stop for a manicure before jet setting to events abroad. Her ride must scream luxury. The only thing missing would be a chauffeur! With such elegance in mind, a strong and refined feminine look is the only way to go. I created a look mixing some trends of the season, such as tailored waist, purple, and large necklaces (my favourites!).

LOOK 2: Ford Focus: Urban Jungle

The Ford Focus is for me the perfect city ride. Traversing the urban jungle requires style, so the woman behind this wheel is dressed with the latest trends, exclusive creations, and a lot of colour!

A black car is the best accessory for an eccentric look. What could be better than a tribal-chic style with a touch of rock to take the city by storm, a trend that makes a nice transition between summer and fall?

LOOK 3: Ford Mustang: Back to the Seventies

For a lot of people, the Ford Mustang means a big engine, testosterone, and lot of “vroom vroom.” But I think it’s more about the free spirit of the ’70s. I think ladies road trips, but also women who know what they want.

With this in mind, I created a look that brings us back to that era, with all the flower power and enthusiasm the free women of the ’70s had going for them. This retro trend has been on runways since last fall and is still in some designers’ collections this season.

More than ever, Ford is working to create cars that reflect its drivers: reliable, modern, and fabulous!

Which is your favourite look? What car inspires you most?
